Price: £30 per day or £50 for 2 days £15 for the Saturday if you are not recieving your belt. Registation: You can register in Advance at any class and have the option of paying in installments.

Mosaico Cultural | 35 years celebration of Capoeira in Guaratingueta.

As you know Mestre Jose Antonio will be celebrating 35 years of Capoeira Guaratinguetá.

Here are some further details that may help you decide if you would like to attend*.*

Event Date: 17 – 23 August 2009

The Event will take place over 6 days, each day you will have the option to visit local Waterfalls and the local country club which is a lovely green ( great view of Guara ) relaxing place to swim , sunbathe and have lunch, these visit's will be organized daily as a group .

Alternatively you can plan your own days and explore the beautiful colonial town Guaratingueta ( Mestre Poncianinho's Home town) or neighboring towns such as the Aparecida home of the famous Basilica.

Evenings will be packed with Capoeira Classes at the Cordão De Ouro Academy Guaratingueta, 3 Mestres will be teaching every evening at the Academy, during the 6 days.

The main celebration will be taking place at the weekend, a night of Brazilian folk Dancing has been organized, Danca das Quilombos, Jongo, Mosambique and Quadrilia Junina are some of the dances that will be performed, and of course lots of Samba De roda, Pagode and parties will be going on.

Flights to Brazil

We will not be dealing with arranging flights, you will have to arrange all flights and travel to Guará yourself, but can answer any questions you may have regarding the event and how to get there.

If any of you are traveling in groups you may get group discounts for flights. *Airlines:* Air France, Alitalia, Lufthansa seem to be the cheapest at the moment especially Alitalia.

São Paulo is the closest airport, and there are plenty of coaches from São Paulo coach station RodoviariaTietê, São Paulo that go to Guaratinguetá daily.

Price for event:

150 Brazilian Reais ( £50 ) for all 6 days ( Capoeira only, food accommodation not included)

Accomodation

Hotels:* 30-50 Brazilian Reais per night Breakfast included ( £9- £15 )

Academy Accommodation: You have the option of sleeping on Mats in the academy, there will be a 24 Hour security guard for your belongings, you may want to bring a sleeping bag for extra comfort, there are showers and toilets, sleeping at the Academy will cost £5 per day.

The prices in Pounds are taken from today's exchange rate so keep your eye on the rate before you travel as the rate does change quite frequently.

This year I have decided to hold separate workshops for each Belt level leading up to the Batizado in order for us to closely work together and understand which areas we need to concentrate on for each level.

I will also be holding a series of Brazilian Contemporary Dance workshops, during these workshops I will be choreographing another piece for later on in the year.
